Hwy 110 lane and ramp closures begin in Mendota Heights April 30

(Roseville, Minn.) – Motorists may encounter delays on Hwy 110 at I-35E in Mendota Heights at 9 a.m. Monday, April 30 as Hwy 110 is reduced to a single lane in both directions between Lexington Avenue and the Hwy 110 frontage road east of I-35E.

The ramps and loops that connect Hwy 110 and I-35E will be closed for resurfacing and repairs later in the life of the project. More information on those closures will be issued as the details become available.

All lanes, ramps and loops at Hwy 110/I-35E will be open by July 12, 2012.

The closures are needed as crews repair the Hwy 110 bridges spanning I-35E, resurface and repair the roadway, ramps and loops and make other repairs and upgrades as needed.

When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, rehabilitated Hwy 110 bridge decks spanning I-35E, improved guardrail system and drainage systems and reduced short-term maintenance costs.

A Work Zone speed limit of 40 mph will be implemented when workers are present. Drivers are reminded to slow down, keep both eyes on the road and keep both hands on the wheel when navigating any work zone.
