Night-time and non-rush hour lane closures scheduled for East Metro
I-94 sign replacement project begins April 15
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists in the east metro area may experience night-time and non-rush hour lane and shoulder closures as a sign replacement project begins Sunday, April 15.
All I-94 overhead and roadside right-of-way signage between John Ireland Boulevard in St. Paul and the I-694/I-494/I-94 interchange in Oakdale and Woodbury will be replaced with new retro-reflective signage.
Night crews will work Sundays through Thursdays, and day crews will work Mondays through Fridays to replace nearly every sign between the two points, beginning in the westbound direction before switching to the eastbound direction. No work will take place on Saturdays.
The project is scheduled for completion by Friday, June 8.
Retro-reflective signing is important for motorist safety and the reduction of night-time crashes.
