Comment period opens for Hwy 169/County Road 69 Interchange project’s Environmental Assessment Worksheet
(Roseville, Minn.) – Those interested in reviewing and commenting on the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the proposed Hwy 169/County Road 69 interchange project near Shakopee may do so Monday, March 19 through Wednesday, April 18.
The EAW includes information on environmental effects of the project including potentially contaminated properties, stormwater quality and quantity, and traffic noise.
The project as proposed will replace the existing at-grade Hwy 169/County Road 69 intersection near Shakopee with a full access, grade-separated “folded diamond” interchange with a loop in the southeast quadrant and a bridge spanning County Road 69 over Hwy 169, and County Road 69 will be reconstructed as a four-lane divided roadway between approximately Colburn Drive and 115th Street. The project also includes a stormwater pond and filtration, a proposed 20-foot high noise barrier on the north side of Hwy 69 along the Stone Meadow Townhome development, and a multi-use trail along both sides of County Road 69.
The project is being led by Scott County. Copies of the EAW will be available for public review on the project’s web site www.scottcounty69and169.com/ and at the following locations:
