Southbound Hwy 169 lane closures occur March 6
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists in Edina and Bloomington will encounter alternating lane closures on southbound Hwy 169 between Valley View Road and Interstate 494 beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 6.
All lanes of Hwy 169 will reopen by 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, March 7.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews reroute traffic to the west side of the highway.
The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
