Overnight lane closures continue through Friday on I-694, full closure for eastbound Hwy 10
Single lane traffic planned for both directions between Rice Street and I-35W

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Due to Monday night’s rainstorm, restrictions on I-694  through Shoreview and Arden Hills will be extended an additional day.  Motorists will encounter single lane traffic overnights, through Friday, March 23 on both directions of Interstate 694 between Rice Street in Shoreview and I-35W in Arden Hills. At the same time, eastbound Hwy 10 will be closed and detoured between Ramsey County Road 96 and I-694.

Both directions of I-694 will be reduced to one lane at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and will reopen to all lanes by 5 a.m. Thursday and Friday as crews move barricade and restripe the roadway to shift traffic as construction activity resumes this spring.

During the lane closures, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes to avoid congestion and delays.

Major reconstruction at the interchange of Interstate 694 and Hwy 10 at Snelling Avenue and Hamline Avenue in Arden Hills began last fall.  The two-year project includes reconstruction of the surrounding roadways between I-35W and Victoria Street along with the Island Lake bridges east of the interchange between Lexington Avenue and Victoria Street.

In addition to rebuilding the surrounding highways, the project will rebuild bridges in the corridor and will improve safety and mobility.
