Hwy 55 open house scheduled for April 3

Public invited to learn about project activities

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Anyone interested in learning about the Hwy 55 resurfacing project between Rockford and Medina is invited to an open house on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.

The open house will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Loretto Fire Department, 259 North Medina Street, Loretto, MN. Project information will be on display and staff will be on hand to answer questions and take feedback. There will be no formal presentation.

The Highway 55 design-build resurfacing project is located in Hennepin and Wright counties between Ash Street in Rockford and just west of Pinto Drive in Medina. Work includes resurfacing Highway 55 to preserve the lifespan of the roadway and create a smoother ride for motorists, adding left turn lanes at various intersections to enhance safety, repairing curb and gutters and drainage structures, and updating accessibility for pedestrians. The project is scheduled to begin in mid-April and be completed by late September.
