MnDOT to commemorate Black History Month by lighting Interstate 35W St. Anthony Falls Bridge in red and green
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Interstate 35W Saint Anthony Falls Bridge spanning the Mississippi River in Minneapolis will be lit red and green on Feb. 29 to commemorate the last day of this year’s Black History Month.
“In recognition of Black History Month, the Metro District will light the bridge to represent diversity and inclusion,” said Metro District Engineer Scott McBride. “We are proud to take part in this way.”
The bridge’s underpass will be lit just after dusk on Wednesday, Feb. 29.
MnDOT has commemorated other events by lighting the bridge in different colors, such as orange for Worker Memorial Day and red, white and blue for Sept. 11.
