Southbound Hwy 169 daytime lane closure occurs Dec. 5
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists in Edina, Eden Prairie and Bloomington will experience possible delays on southbound Hwy 169 between Valley View Road and Anderson Lakes Parkway as a lane closure begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.
The lane will reopen by 3 p.m. the same day.
The closure is necessary as crews install a guardrail in the Hwy 169 median as part of the Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project. Motorists should also watch for additional lane closures in the upcoming weeks in this same area as crews continue with guardrail installation.
The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
