I-694 fully opened to traffic late in the day Nov. 8
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Westbound/northbound I-694 between 40th Street North and Hwy 61 in the East Metro reopened to two lanes of traffic Thursday night.
Eastbound/southbound I-694 reopened to two lanes of traffic earlier this week. At that time the ramp from eastbound I-694 to Hwy 61 and the ramp from Hwy 61 to westbound I-694 also reopened to traffic.
All ramps within the project area are now open to traffic.
During the next week motorists may experience temporary off-peak lane and shoulder closures as any remaining project work is completed.
Both directions of I-694 were open to one lane of traffic and ramp closures took place as part of the I-694 resurfacing project. Project work also included roadway resurfacing, ramp reconstruction at Hwy 61, White Bear Avenue, Century Avenue and Hwy 36, construction of four acceleration lanes at I-694 and Hwy 36, culvert replacement and the repair of bridge decks.
