Short-term I-94 closure scheduled for Nov. 30-Dec.1
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists may experience delays on both directions of I-94 at McKnight Road in Maplewood beginning at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, when lane closures begin to take place.
Both directions of the freeway will close completely at 1 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
Eastbound motorists will bypass the closure by following the posted detour: southbound McKnight Road to Burns Avenue and re-entering the eastbound freeway from Burns Avenue.
Westbound motorists will bypass the closure by following the posted detour: exiting to westbound Hudson Road to McKnight Road and re-entering the westbound freeway from McKnight Road.
The closure is necessary as Xcel Energy crews replace an overhead power line spanning I-94 west of McKnight Road.
All lanes of both directions will reopen by 3 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
