Open house scheduled for Hwy 212/284/County Road 53
Modified design to be presented for 2012 “3/4 intersection”
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Area residents, commuters and business owners are invited to an open house to present the revised design to convert the existing Hwy 212/Hwy 284/County Road 53 intersection in Cologne to a 3/4 intersection.
The new layout includes design elements that address comments received from Cologne businesses and residents. The plan retains the ¾ intersection improvement and all of the Hwy 212 turning movements while better addressing concerns about mobility on local city streets. Other improvements are also included.
The open house will be held at Cologne Community Center, 1211 Village Parkway, Monday, Jan. 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. A formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m.
The project’s layout and design and other displays will be available for viewing throughout the open house, and attendees will be able to get questions answered directly from the project engineers, designers and other staff working on the project.
