Hwy 61 lanes to be narrowed north of Hastings Bridge
(Roseville, Minn.) – Motorists traveling both directions of Hwy 61 north of the Hastings Bridge may encounter non-rush hour delays Thursday, December 15 as lane widths are temporarily reduced and flaggers control traffic as necessary between King’s Cove Marina and the north end of the bridge.
Both lanes will be narrowed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Brief, intermittent lane closures with a flagging crew will be possible as equipment is moved in and out of the area. The lane widths are being reduced as crews conduct road maintenance in and around the median.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and that the speed limit through the Hastings Bridge Work Zone is 40 MPH.
As is expected for the entire project, two-way traffic will remain across the river during rush hours, and access to local businesses and residences will not be affected.
Motorists and residents with questions are encouraged to call the Hastings Bridge Project Hotline at 651-775-5244 or visit the project’s web site at www.dot.state.mn.us/hastingsbridge.
