Public hearing on Hwy 169/93rd Ave. interchange construction scheduled for Nov. 16

Copies of Environmental Assessment/Environmental Assessment Worksheet now available to public

 

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the public to attend a hearing for the Hwy 169/93rd Ave. Environmental Assessment/Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EA/EAW). The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Brooklyn Park City Hall, 5200 85th Ave. N, Brooklyn Park.

 

Representatives from MnDOT will provide information about the project, answer questions and gather public feedback.

 

Layouts of the proposed improvements will be displayed and copies of the EA/EAW will be available for review during the public hearing, which will be held in an open house format. There will be no formal presentation.

 

The proposed project, located in the cities of Brooklyn Park and Osseo, will replace the existing signalized intersection at Hwy 169 and 93rd Ave. (County Hwy 30) with an interchange, including a 93rd Ave. bridge spanning Hwy 169 and loop ramps on the north side of 93rd Ave.

 

The EA/EAW documents the purpose and need of the proposed project along with the anticipated social, economic, and environmental impacts. Copies of the EA/EAW are available for public viewing during normal business hours at the following locations:
