Hwy 169/I-494 ramp closes Nov. 29
Northbound Hwy 169 traffic will be routed to new lanes by Dec. 2

 

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on westbound Interstate 494  when the ramp to northbound Hwy 169  closes at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29.  

 

During the closure, motorists should follow the posted detour route:


Westbound I-494 to eastbound Hwy 212 to northbound Hwy 169

 

The ramp will reopen by 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2.

 

Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 Interchange Reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews continue ramp construction and reroute northbound Hwy 169 traffic onto the new, reconstructed lanes.

 

The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
