I-35W lane and ramp closures scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 3 in Minneapolis
ROSEVILLE, Minn. –Minneapolis motorists may encounter delays as southbound I-35W lane and ramp closures occur between Washington Avenue and I-94 in Minneapolis Oct. 31-Nov. 3.
The following closures will occur each day:
- Oct. 31: The right lane of the ramp from southbound I-35W to westbound I-94/eastbound Highway 55 will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. At 10 p.m., the ramps from Washington Avenue and 3rd Street to southbound I-35W as well as the ramp from southbound I-35W to westbound I-94/eastbound Highway 55 will close. The ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Nov. 1
- Nov. 1: The two left lanes of southbound I-35W will close at 10 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. Nov. 2
- No. 2: The two right lanes of southbound I-35W will close at 10 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. Nov. 3
Motorists are advised to use alternate entrances during the ramp closures. The lane closure is needed as crews complete work on a flyover bridge and remove and install new overhead sign structures as part of the Central Corridor Light Rail construction project.
