Emergency railroad crossing repairs to close Hwy 65 in Fridley
Crews need to replace railroad crossing


ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may encounter congestion and delays when Hwy 65 closes at 73rd Avenue in Fridley on Friday, Oct. 28 for emergency railroad crossing replacement. 


Southbound Hwy 65 will be closed from noon Friday, Oct. 28 until 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31. The northbound roadway will close at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 and be open to traffic by noon Monday, Oct. 31.


The closures are needed so crews can make emergency repairs to the railroad crossing at 73rd Avenue.


During the closure, motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible to avoid delays on Hwy 65. Traffic should follow the signed detours on Mississippi Street (Anoka County Road 6), Hwy 47 and Osborne Road (Anoka County Road 8) to bypass the closure.
