Continued I-94/Hwy 280 overnight ramp closures scheduled for Oct. 19-21
Work continues on the I-94 improvement project between the downtowns
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will experience delays as the ramp from southbound Hwy 280 to westbound I-94 in St. Paul is closed overnight on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and Thursday, Oct. 20.
The ramp will close at 11:59 p.m. each day and reopen by 5 a.m. the next day. During the closure motorists will be advised to access eastbound I-94 and use the Snelling Avenue interchange to access westbound I-94.
The continued overnight ramp closures are needed as crews work on ponds at the interchange as part of the I-94 improvement project.
The I-94 improvement project between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul includes resurfacing, which will create a smoother ride for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway. The project also includes drainage improvements, bridge maintenance work, reconstruction of the shoulders, realignment of the lanes and smart lane technology to improve safety and congestion.
