Construction complete on eastbound I-94 east of downtown St. Paul
New lane has been added
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Construction of an auxiliary lane on eastbound Interstate 94 between Hwy 61 and White Bear Avenue in St. Paul was completed Oct. 17. As work wrapped up, the ramp from northbound Hwy 61 to eastbound I-94 and the ramp from eastbound I-94 to White Bear Avenue were reopened in time for this morning’s rush hour traffic.
Work on the new auxiliary lane, new noise wall along the south side of the eastbound freeway and storm sewer system improvements began Sept. 10.
The new lane will help ease congestion by providing a separate lane for motorists traveling eastbound between Hwy 61 and White Bear Avenue or who want to exit on White Bear Avenue from the eastbound interstate.
