Northbound Hwy 52 traffic switch planned next week south of Lafayette bridge
Hwy 52 back to two lanes each direction for winter

ROSEVILLE, Minn. -- Northbound Hwy 52 will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 between Concord Street and Interstate 94 as crews switch northbound traffic from the southbound side of the roadway back onto the northbound lanes of Hwy 52.  Northbound Hwy 52 had been shifted to a single lane of traffic this year for reconstruction of the northbound Plato Boulevard and Eaton Street bridges and resurfacing of the northbound Concord Street bridge.

During the traffic switch, the left lane of southbound Hwy 52 will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Tuesday move the center median barrier. Intermittent lane closures are planned Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 19 and 20 to finish restriping the southbound highway.

By the end of the day Tuesday, Oct. 18, Hwy 52 will be two lanes in each direction until next spring, when work begins on the southbound Plato Boulevard, Eaton Street and Concord Street bridges.  During the closures, motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
