UPDATE – Maintenance requires lane closures Wednesday night and Thursday
Hwy 61 temporary lane closures scheduled Sept. 21-22

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays on Hwy 61 between Spiral Bridge Road, near Hub’s Landing, and Third Street in downtown Hastings as lane closures occur Wednesday night, Sept. 21, and Thursday, Sept. 22.

The road will be reduced to a single lane at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in time for the morning rush hour. Then, the road will go back to a single lane from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22.

A flagging crew will control traffic during the closures, and all work is weather dependent.

The temporary lane closures are needed as crews complete required maintenance on the existing Hastings Bridge. The work is not part of the new Hwy 61 Hastings Bridge project.

Two-way traffic will remain across the river during peak travel times and access to local businesses and residences will not be affected during the project.
