Closure of southbound I-35E ramp to Anoka County Road 14 delayed
Ramp closure rescheduled for Sept. 27
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Closure of the ramp from southbound I-35E to Anoka County Road 14 in Lino Lakes has been delayed until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. The ramp had been scheduled to close tomorrow. The closure is needed as crews continue paving to tie in the freeway with the exit ramp.
During the closure, motorists will follow a signed detour to reach County Road 14. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes if possible to avoid congestion and delays during the work.
The ramp is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30.
Traffic is currently a single lane in each direction on the northbound side of I-35E between Ramsey County Road 96 and the I-35E/I-35W split in Columbus, just south of Forest Lake, as crews resurface the southbound interstate. Work on southbound I-35E will be completed in mid-October. Crews will return next spring to resurface northbound I-35E in the same area.
This project will provide a long-term solution to the existing roadway condition. The existing pavement will be removed from the concrete below and replaced with a 10-inch concrete overlay, which will provide durability and a smoother ride.
