Twin Cities metro-wide accessibility upgrades project begins Aug. 8
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays on various roadways throughout the Twin Cities Metro Area as a project to upgrade accessibility at 10 intersections begins Monday, Aug. 8.
Work will occur at the following intersections:
- Hwy 51/Snelling Avenue and County Road C in Roseville
- Hwy 51/Snelling Avenue and County Road C2 in Roseville
- Hwy 51/Snelling Avenue and Lydia Avenue in Roseville
- Hwy 55 and Hwy 149 in Eagan
- Hwy 5 and Hwy 120 in Maplewood/Oakdale
- Hwy 36 and Hwy 120 in North St. Paul/Oakdale
- Hwy 169 and 114th Avenue/Elm Creek Parkway in Champlin
- Hwy 169 and Dayton Road/Miller Road in Champlin
- Hwy 10 and County Road 51/University Avenue in Blaine/Coon Rapids
- Hwy 149 and County Road 28/Yankee Doodle Road in Eagan
Some non-rush hour lane or shoulder closures will occur as needed throughout the project. Crews will typically work during daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
The project will consist of installing new pedestrian ramps and accessible pedestrian signals for pedestrians with hearing or sight impairments. The project is expected to be completed by mid-October.
