Metro-wide seal coating project begins Sept. 7
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may encounter lane closures at various locations on several roadways throughout the metro area as crews begins a metro wide seal coating project beginning on Sept. 7.
- Hwy 5 and Hwy 25 in Norwood between Hwy 212 and east of Hwy 25 and Hwy 5 interchange in Waconia Oak Ave. 10th Street
- Hwy 7 between Watertown and St. Bonifacius
- Hwy 41 in Chanhassen between Hwy 5 and Hwy 7
- Hwy 97 between Forest Lake and Scandia from Hwy 61 to Hwy 95
- Hwy 61 in Little Canada and North St. Paul
- Hwy 51 in Arden Hills between Hwy 36 and I-694
- Hwy 36 and Hwy 95 in Stillwater between Sunnyside Marina and Elm St.
- South Frontage road of Hwy 36 in Stillwater between Washington and Tarra Hideaway
- Hwy 61 south in Hastings between Cannon St. and 5th St.
Crews will work from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Mondays through Saturdays. Short-term overnight lane closures are expected during the month-long project. The project will be completed by Oct. 3.
A flagger’s crew will control traffic during the single lane closures.
The project will result in a smoother ride and extended pavement life.
