Hwy 70 resurfacing project begins Sept. 6
Resurfacing project to improve roadway surface
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays on Hwy 70 between Hwy 107 in Kanabec County and Hwy 361 in Pine County during a resurfacing project set to begin Sept. 6.
The Hay Creek culvert also will be replaced starting Monday, Sept. 12 and be completed by Monday, Sept. 19. The roadway will be closed for eight days during the culvert replacement.
Access to all homes and businesses will be maintained during the project.
Motorist, residents and businesses will be able to access their driveways along Hwy 70 but are required to wait and follow the pilot car before entering the work zone. A flagging operation will occur as well.
The posted detour for the construction project is for westbound motorists to take I-35 north to westbound Pine County 11, then south on Hwy 107. Eastbound motorists must follow northbound 107 to Pine County 11 eastbound to I-35.
The project will be completed by Wednesday, Nov. 2.
