I-35W lane and ramp closures occur Aug. 20 and Aug. 21
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Minneapolis motorists may encounter delays and detours as lane and ramp closures on both directions of I-35W between Washington Avenue and University Avenue occur Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.
At 6 a.m. Aug. 20 the left two lanes of southbound I-35W will close, and a third lane will close at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m. the left two lanes will reopen and the right two lanes will close, along with the ramp from University Avenue to southbound I-35W. All lanes and the ramp will reopen by 6 p.m., Aug. 20.
At 6 a.m. Aug. 21 the left two lanes of northbound I-35W will close, and a third lane will close at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m. the left two lanes will reopen and the right two lanes will close, along with the ramp from Washington Avenue to northbound I-35W and the ramp from northbound I-35W to University Avenue. All lanes and the ramp will reopen by 6 p.m., Aug. 21.
Motorists are advised to follow posted detour routes during the ramp closures. The closures are needed for routine maintenance work on the I-35W Saint Anthony Falls Bridge.
