Hwy 36 Stillwater Lift Bridge top side inspection complete
Underside inspection won’t affect lanes, lift schedule
(Roseville, Minn.) –As inspection activities on the top side of the Stillwater Lift Bridge wrap up, motorists will no longer encounter lane closures on the two-lane bridge spanning the St. Croix River between Stillwater and Houlton, Wis.
Bridge inspectors will continue their inspection on the underside of the Stillwater Lift Bridge next week and anticipate completing their work by Friday, Aug. 19.
The lane closures were needed for the annual safety inspection of all critical bridge components on the existing Stillwater Bridge.
The inspection does not affect the Lift Bridge schedule.
