UPDATED: West 78th Street south of I-494 to close Aug. 1
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a detour on West 78th Street (south of I-494) when the road closes west of Ensign Road at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1.
During the closure, Ensign neighborhood residents will only be able to access the neighborhood using Hwy 169 and Townline Avenue.
Access to West 78th Street west of Ensign Road will be available from Prairie Center Drive only.
Motorists should follow the posted detour route:
- West 78th Street (west of Ensign Road): westbound W. 78th Street to northbound Prairie Center Drive to eastbound I-494 to southbound Hwy 169.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 Interchange Reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews continue with roundabout construction on West 78th Street. The roadway is anticipated to reopen by late October.
