Hwy 7 maintenance work to begin July 31

Left lane closures will occur in St. Louis Park

 

 

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays and detours at the Hwy 7/Aquila Avenue/Blake Road intersection in St. Louis Park as CenterPoint Energy crews begin maintenance work on July 31.

 

Closures of the left lanes and left turn lanes in both directions of Hwy 7 will occur at this intersection. Traffic on westbound Hwy 7 will be detoured to southbound Hwy 169 and westbound County Road 3/Excelsior Boulevard in order to access Blake Road. Traffic on eastbound Hwy 7 will be detoured to northbound Texas Avenue and westbound West 36th Street in order to access Aquila Avenue.

 

In addition, access across Hwy 7 at Aquila Avenue and Blake Road will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to Texas Avenue in order to cross Hwy 7. The right turn lanes to and from Hwy 7 will remain open.

 

The work is part of a maintenance project to inspect and replace underground piping in the area. The work and lane restrictions are expected to last until late August.
