Day-long Hwy 169 closure scheduled for June 11
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays and a detour at 4 a.m. Saturday, June 11 when both northbound and southbound Hwy 169 close between 93rd Avenue/County Road 30 and 101st Avenue in Brooklyn Park.
The closure is necessary as crews work on the new interchange at Hwy 610 and Hwy 169. During the closure, the detour is as follows:
- Southbound: West on 109th Avenue to Jefferson Hwy, south to 93rd Avenue/County Road 30 and east to southbound Hwy 169
- Northbound: East on Hwy 610 to West Broadway Avenue/County Road 103, use the ramps to access westbound Hwy 610 and then northbound Hwy 169.
Hwy 169 will reopen by 5 p.m. Saturday, June 11. One lane of traffic will remain closed on southbound Hwy 169 until 10 p.m.
The new Hwy 610 alignment includes nearly three miles of four-lane highway between Hwy 169 in Brooklyn Park and County Road 81 in Maple Grove. Construction is scheduled to be complete in July 2011.
