Hwy 13 in Lilydale closed due to slope washout
Roseville, Minn. — Motorists will encounter delays on Hwy 13/Sibley Memorial Hwy in Lilydale between Second Avenue and Lexington Avenue South as the road is closed for emergency repairs.
The closure is necessary as crews stabilize the slope and roadbed along 100 feet of bluff that has washed out.
Crews are scheduled to arrive at the site tomorrow, July 1, with repairs beginning July 5. The road will reopen by July 20. The road was closed at approximately 3:40 p.m. on June 27, shortly after the washout was discovered.
A two-mile detour will direct drivers along Lexington Avenue, to Hwy 110 and back to Hwy 13.
The Mississippi River Trail between Mendota and Lilydale will remain open.
