West 78th Street south of I-494 to close June 17
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a detour on West 78th Street (south of I-494) when the road closes at approximately Ensign Road at 6 a.m., Friday, June 17.
From 6 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. June 17, crews will construct a temporary bypass from Ensign Road to westbound W. 78th Street.
After 5 p.m., the following configuration will be in place for approximately one month:
- There will be no access to or from southbound Hwy 169 at Townline Avenue
- Access to and from W. 78th Street will only be available from Prairie Center Drive
Motorists should follow the posted detour route to access southbound Hwy 169:
- Westbound W. 78th Street to northbound Prairie Center Drive to eastbound I-494 to southbound Hwy 169.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 Interchange Reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews continue with roundabout construction on West 78th Street. Further changes will occur after approximately one month and updates will be made at that time.
