Roseville, Minn. — Motorists traveling Belvidere Street near Hwy 52 in St. Paul can expect delays beginning at 6 a.m. June 20 as the Belvidere Bridge spanning Hwy 52 is temporarily closed for rehabilitation.
The bridge is tentatively scheduled to reopen by July 10.
Motorists should follow the detour directing traffic to the Cesar Chavez Street overpass approximately six blocks north of Belvidere Street or find alternate routes as crews complete their work.
The ramp from Upper 55th Street to southbound Hwy 52 will also be closed beginning June 20. The ramp is scheduled to reopen by June 25.
The closures are part of a larger project to rehabilitate the Hwy 52 bridges between I-494 in Inver Grove Heights and the Mississippi River in St. Paul. The project will also improve drainage, install cable median barrier and perform other needed work along the roadway.
