West 78th Street south of I-494 to close June 17
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a detour on West 78th Street (south of I-494) when the road closes at approximately Ensign Road at 6 a.m., Friday, June 17.
During the closure, motorists will be able to access Townline Avenue from southbound Hwy 169. Motorists will not be able to continue west on Townline Avenue past Ensign Road. Access to Townline Avenue/southbound Hwy 169 from Ensign Road will also be available during the closure.
Access to West 78th Street west of Ensign Road will be available from Prairie Center Drive only.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 Interchange Reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews continue with roundabout construction on West 78th Street. The roadway is anticipated to reopen by late September.
Motorists should follow the posted detour route:
- West 78th Street (west of Ensign Road): westbound W. 78th Street to northbound Prairie Center Drive to eastbound I-494 to southbound Hwy 169.
