Hwy 280 closure scheduled for next weekend
Closure associated with Central Corridor Light Rail Transit project
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will experience delays next weekend as both directions of Hwy 280 in St. Paul close at 10 p.m. Friday, May 13.
The roadway will be closed at University Ave. as Metropolitan Council crews continue to work on the Central Corridor Light Rail project.
No traffic will be allowed on northbound Hwy 280 between I-94 and University Ave. No traffic will be allowed on southbound Hwy 280 between the Kasota Ave./Energy Park Dr. exit and I-94.
In order to bypass the closure, southbound motorists are advised to follow Hwy 36 east to southbound I-35E to westbound I-94. Northbound motorists are advised to follow I-94 east to northbound I-35E to westbound Hwy 36.
Weather permitting, the roadway will be reopened to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, May 16.
