Hwy 101 spanning Minnesota River now open

Hwy 169 reverting to original lane configuration; minor repairs also to begin on Hwy 41

 

(Roseville, Minn.) – Hwy 101 spanning the Minnesota River reopened between Chaska and downtown Shakopee at 12:45 p.m. today. The roadway was scheduled to reopen by 3 p.m.

 

Motorists in the southwest Twin Cities Metropolitan Area may experience delays at two other routes crossing the Minnesota River beginning May 12 as crews begin to restripe Hwy 169 between Scott County 18 and I-494 to its original lane configuration and make minor repairs to the recently reopened Hwy 41 river crossing in Chaska.

 

First, crews will remove the fog lines of both directions Hwy 169 at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12. Both directions will be reduced to a single lane through 5 a.m. Friday, May 13.

 

Weather permitting, northbound Hwy 169 will be reduced to a single lane at 7 p.m. Friday, May 13, and southbound Hwy 169 will be reduced to a single lane at 8 p.m. All lanes of both directions will reopen by 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14.

 

If crews are unable to complete the restriping by May 14 because of inclement weather, northbound Hwy 169 also would be reduced to a single lane from 7 p.m. May 14 to 11 a.m. May 15 while southbound Hwy 169 would be reduced to a single lane from 7 p.m. May 14 to 12 p.m. May 15.

 

The two-lane Hwy 41 will be reduced to a single lane between Hwy 169 and Chaska Blvd. at 9 a.m. May 9 as crews repair shoulders, slopes, drainage and guardrail. Flaggers will control traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. All repairs will be completed by 3 p.m. May 13.
