County Road 81 will remain closed through this weekend, May 27-30
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will continue to experience delays and a detour on County Road 81 in Maple Grove between Elm Creek Boulevard and Fernbrook Lane as it remains closed through the Memorial Day weekend.
The closure is needed to maintain motorist safety during roadway cleanup activities in the Hwy 610 project area as a result of the weekend storms. The roadway will remain closed until the week of May 30 when cleanup is complete.
During this time the posted detour is:
- Westbound: West on County Road 30 to Fernbrook Lane and north to County Road 81
- Eastbound: South on Fernbrook Lane to County Road 30 and east to County Road 81
The new Hwy 610 alignment includes nearly three miles of four-lane highway between Hwy 169 in Brooklyn Park and County Road 81 in Maple Grove. Construction is scheduled to be complete in July 2011.
