Hwy 13/101 lane closures begin May 31
Roseville, Minn. — Motorists may encounter nighttime delays on westbound Hwy 13/101 in Savage as the road is reduced to a single lane between Louisiana Avenue and Hwy 169 beginning May 31.
The lane closures will take place Sundays through Fridays from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through June 15 as crews construct a future bus shoulder that will also carry traffic during construction of the new Hwy 13/101 Interchange.
Beginning in June, access to local businesses will change to use new routes utilizing the frontage road system near the interchange. Information on those changes will be issued in advance.
When complete, the new interchange will improve safety and mobility by eliminating an at-grade stoplight for east-west traffic while maintaining access to local businesses through safer connections to the local frontage road system. The project is scheduled to be complete in summer 2012.
