Hwy 52 Lafayette bridge ramp closure to be lifted overnight
Northbound bridge ramp to eastbound Interstate 94 opens for Friday morning traffic
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will find the new temporary ramp from the northbound Hwy 52 Lafayette bridge to eastbound I-94 in St. Paul open in time for tomorrow morning’s rush hour.
It was originally slated to open on Monday, May 2.
Crews will open the ramp overnight. The existing ramp was closed Monday, April 18 so crews could construct a temporary ramp to carry traffic during removal of the east half of the existing northbound bridge. Part of the bridge needs to be removed so work can begin on the abutment for the new northbound Lafayette Bridge on the north bank of the Mississippi River.
Drivers are urged to drive with caution and slow down due to the traffic change at the north end of the Lafayette bridge.
