Plato Boulevard ramp to northbound Hwy 52 and Lafayette Road closing Thursday, April 21
Bridge ramp, Lafayette Road will remain closed until late September
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – As work continues on the new northbound Hwy 52 Lafayette bridge in St. Paul, the ramp from Plato Boulevard to northbound Hwy 52 on the south bank of the Mississippi River will close Thursday, April 21. The closure is needed as crews build retaining walls on the south end of the new northbound bridge. At the same time East Lafayette Road will close on the east side of Hwy 52. Both will remain closed until the end of September.
During the closures, ramp traffic will detour south on Hwy 52 to Butler Avenue and then north on Hwy 52. The detour for East Lafayette Road will be east on Plato Boulevard and then west on Fillmore Avenue.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid congestion and possible delays.
