Two week Hwy 52 ramp closure begins Monday, April 18
Northbound bridge ramp to eastbound I-94 closing
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may encounter congestion and delays during the next two weeks as the ramp on the northbound Hwy 52 Lafayette bridge to eastbound Interstate 94 in St. Paul is closed.
Crews will begin restriping the northbound bridge at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 17 and the ramp will close early Monday, April 18 as crews construct a temporary ramp to carry traffic during removal of the east half of the existing northbound bridge. Part of the bridge needs to be removed so work can begin on the abutment for the new northbound Lafayette Bridge on the north bank of the Mississippi River. The new temporary ramp will open to traffic on Monday, May 2.
During the closure traffic will detour east on East 7th Street to Mounds Boulevard, and then south (right) on Mounds Boulevard to the ramp to eastbound I-94.
