Staircase at 3rd Avenue North Bridge in Minneapolis closing today
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Some downtown pedestrians will need to use an alternate route to access the 4th Street parking garage from 3rd Avenue North and 3rd Street in Minneapolis beginning at noon Friday, April 1.
The staircase to 3rd Street on the north side of 3rd Avenue is being closed.
The wooden staircase was found to be in need of replacement. It also does not meet current accessibility standards.
The sidewalks near the staircase will remain open during removal, and pedestrians can use the access provided inside the 4th Street parking garage in order to access 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street.
