Lane closure for Hwy 61 begins April 5
(Roseville, Minn.) – Motorists traveling Highway 61 through Hastings will merge sooner than usual when approaching the Hastings Bridge, as the roadway is reduced to a single lane in each direction between 5th Street and the railroad bridge just north of Hub’s Marina beginning Tuesday, April 5.
The new lane configuration extends the existing two lanes of traffic on the Hastings bridge through the entire Work Zone.
Left and right turn lanes will be maintained, and any delays are expected to be minimal.
This configuration will remain in place north of the bridge throughout the 2011 construction season.
Motorists may experience other minimal traffic changes along Highway 61 through the work area during the project. As is expected for the entire project, two-way traffic will remain across the river during rush hours, and access to local businesses and residences will not be affected.
