Apparent low bidder announced for Highway 101/13 interchange project in Savage
Final contract expected in 4-6 weeks
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The apparent low bidder to construct a new interchange to replace an at-grade intersection at the junction of Highway 101 and Highway 13 in Savage was announced Jan. 28 after sealed price bids were opened.
Of the four design-build firms that qualified to submit proposals to construct the intersection, Ames Construction is the apparent winner with a low bid of $19,037,000. The bids ranged in price up to $29,686,801.
A final contract is anticipated by March, with construction beginning in spring 2011.
The announcement follows a lengthy pre-engineering and public involvement process.
