New bridge, interchange construction to be suspended for winter months at Anoka County Road 14, I-35E in Lino Lakes
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – As winter returns to Minnesota, construction at the interchange of Main Street (Anoka County Road 14) and I-35E in Lino Lakes will be suspended in mid-December. Access to local businesses affected by the project is available at Northern Lights Boulevard and 21st Avenue.
Northern Lights Boulevard is located on the west side of I-35E and will remain open throughout the winter. Traffic is controlled with a four-way stop. Access at 21st Avenue will also remain open during the winter.
Construction is scheduled to resume in late March or early April depending on weather conditions.
The Anoka County Road 14 bridge project includes construction of two new bridges to carry traffic across I-35E along with new freeway entrance and exit ramps. Additional improvements include three new traffic signals and turn lanes on County Road 14 along with additional lanes and a center median. When completed in July 2011, the project will improve safety and reduce congestion for motorists traveling between the interstate and County Road 14.
