Work on the new Hwy 610 project slows down for winter

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – As work on the new Highway 610 construction project in Maple Grove has slowed down for winter all local roads are now open, and all lane closures on Highway 169 have been removed for the season.

In the coming weeks crews will be in the area completing installation of noisewall posts, storm sewer work, and minor bridge work at Zachary Lane. Some additional work will continue through the winter months, including grading, excavating and hauling activities.

The new Highway 610 alignment includes nearly three miles of four-lane highway from Highway 169 in Brooklyn Park to County Road 81 in Maple Grove. The project includes two interchanges, three overpasses, a pedestrian bridge and noisewalls.

Construction is scheduled to be complete in July 2011 and will improve mobility for northwestern Twin Cities travelers.
