Jefferson Highway Bridge over new Highway 610 open to traffic
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — The new Jefferson Highway Bridge spanning the new Highway 610 is now open to traffic. A portion of Jefferson Highway has been closed since early July as crews constructed the new overpass.
The new Highway 610 alignment includes nearly three miles of four-lane highway from Highway 169 in Brooklyn Park to County Road 81 in Maple Grove. The project includes two interchanges, three overpasses, a pedestrian bridge and noisewalls. Construction is scheduled to be complete in July 2011 and will improve mobility for northwestern Twin Cities travelers. The project will be completed and open to traffic in July 2011.
