Two-day closure planned next week for 21st Avenue
Part of Anoka County Road 14 (Main Street) bridge work in Lino Lakes

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may encounter delays when 21st Avenue, south of Anoka County Road 14 (Main Street), closes at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29.  The closure, in the southwest corner of the interchange of I-35E and County Road 14, is needed to connect storm sewer pipe to carry water away from the roadway. The work is expected to be complete and 21st Avenue reopened late Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 30.

During the work, traffic will follow a signed detour to reach businesses along 21st Avenue.

The Anoka County Road 14 bridge project includes construction of two new bridges to carry traffic across I-35E along with new freeway entrance and exit ramps.  Additional improvements include three new traffic signals and turn lanes on County Road 14 along with additional lanes and a center median. When completed in July 2011, the project will improve safety and reduce congestion for motorists traveling between the interstate and County Road 14.  Additional project information is available at:  http://ww2.anokacounty.us/v3_highway/MainStreetAtI-35E.aspx
