All traffic restrictions lifted Sunday night following this weekend’s demolition of Rice Street bridge over Hwy 36 in Roseville
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – All traffic restrictions at Rice Street and Hwy 36 in Roseville were lifted by 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, following demolition of the old Rice Street bridge over Highway 36 in Roseville. Rice Street traffic in both directions will use the new northbound bridge until the southbound bridge is constructed.
During the bridge removal, Rice Street was closed between County Road B and Minnesota Street since 10 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19 and Hwy 36 was closed at Rice Street during the same time.
The project, which began in early July, includes replacement of the Rice Street
bridge and reconstruction of Rice Street and side streets between County Road B-2 and County Road B.
The entire project is expected to be complete in November 2011.
