Highway 7/ Wooddale Avenue interchange open to traffic
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The new Highway 7/Wooddale Avenue interchange in St. Louis Park is now open to traffic. The interchange opened earlier than the originally anticipated date of Nov. 19.
The project to reconstruct the existing intersection began in Oct. 2009. Eastbound Highway 7 will continue to be reduced to one lane over the next week as work on the roadway is completed. Median and landscaping work will continue until the project’s anticipated full completion date of June 2011.
The new interchange will provide improved safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists and decrease traffic congestion in the area. For more information, visit http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy7slp/.
