Guardrail replacement resumes Monday, Oct. 11 on I-35E/Goose Lake bridges in Vadnais Heights
Work requires flaggers on Goose Lake Road beneath the interstate
Following a brief hiatus while the contractor awaited delivery of materials, replacement of guardrail on the I-35E bridges over Goose Lake Road in Vadnais Heights will resume Monday evening, Oct. 11. Restrictions that included a full closure of Goose Lake Road were briefly lifted until supplies arrive.
As guardrail replacement resumes Monday, crews will work from 7 p.m. to 12 noon the next day, Monday, Oct. 11 through Thursday, Oct. 14. There will be single lane closures on north and south I-35E NB and SB, as well as a flagging operation on Goose Lake Road.
The project began in mid-September and included removal of loose concrete beneath the bridge and straightening of exposed rebar and covering it with new material.
The maintenance repair work will improve safety for motorists and extend the life of the two bridges.
